Lion’s Share are back after a six year hiatus and have recruited acclaimed vocalist Patrik Johansson, known for his work with metal sensations Astral Doors and Wuthering Heights.

Strongly influenced by the likes of German metal heroes Gamma Ray and Helloween, they still manage to produce songs that are fresh sounding while continue to maintain a high degree of quality and class. Swiss melodic rockers Shakra made a fine impression on the rock and metal world when they released their debut album back in 1998. Since then they have released a number of albums, some of which gained excellent chart positions along with radio hit singles. The following clip features a ballad taken from the latest album ‘Infected’ released early this year.

Kamelot’s clip for the song ‘Ghost Opera’ was recently posted online by SPV USA. The track is the title cut off the new album by the American/Norwegian melodic metallers.

According to the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, Nightwish’s upcoming “Dark Passion Play” CD could very well turn out to be the most expensive album ever produced in Finland.

“The final cost of the album was around 500,000 euros [approximately $670,000],” stated band leader Tuomas Holopainen. “We didn’t make any compromises that were money-related. Nothing was held back so there is nothing we could’ve done better.”
